Blackable was born from purpose — not prestige.
We didn’t set out to chase a fashion dream; we set out to create impact. To prove that culture, creativity, and commerce can work together to move communities forward.
We are a social entrepreneurship brand rooted in innovation and intention. Our mission is simple: increase representation in technology and normalize POC affluence through innovation, design, and intentional reinvestment.
Every purchase, every product, every project we launch is designed to close the gap between representation and ownership — and that’s where the 2% Promise begins.
What the 2% Represents
With every sale, Blackable reinvests 2% back into STEM education and innovation programs for underrepresented communities.
At first glance, 2% may not sound like a lot — but it represents something much bigger. It represents a reality we refuse to accept: in 2025, Black women hold just 2% of all technical roles in the U.S.
That’s not only an innovation gap — it’s an equity gap.
Across the broader tech workforce, Black professionals make up less than 8%, and Black women remain severely underrepresented in engineering, design, and leadership roles. Meanwhile, the global tech industry exceeds $5.3 trillion in market value — one of the largest engines of wealth creation in history.
When we’re missing from that equation, our communities miss out on both influence and income. The 2% Promise exists to help change that.
Why the 2% Promise Matters
Representation in technology isn’t just about diversity — it’s about who gets to design the future.
When only a fraction of voices shape algorithms, products, and platforms, the outcomes reinforce exclusion. That’s why Blackable’s north star is not just representation, but ownership and participation in the innovation economy.
We believe change happens at the intersection of education, exposure, and empowerment. The 2% Promise is how we begin building that bridge.
Building from the Ground Up
We’re a grassroots movement — growing one intentional investment at a time.
Phase 1: STEM Education Access
We are partnering with schools, youth programs, and community organizations to expose underserved students — especially girls — to coding, robotics, and design thinking at an early age.
Phase 2: Innovation Tools & Labs
As we grow, our goal is to expand access to makerspaces, digital tools, and innovation labs that allow creators to explore, prototype, and lead.
That same spirit of innovation guides our own work. Grounded in the physical, culturally rooted designs available at Blackable.com today, we’re now creating digital fashion and fashion-tech experiences that extend our brand into phygital wearables and NFC-enabled products that merge style with unique digital experiences.
These next-generation innovations are currently under development — coming soon to the Blackable ecosystem.
Phase 3: Employment Pipeline
Our long-term vision is to transform representation into opportunity — to one day create direct technical and digital employment pathways through the Blackable ecosystem.
Because progress doesn’t start at the top — it starts at the roots.
The Promise in Action
Every purchase from Blackable is more than a transaction — it’s participation in progress.
Each item you wear helps move the needle — from 2% to something greater.
When you shop, share, or support, you’re funding access, equity, and innovation. You’re helping close a gap that has persisted for generations — and proving that collective action, even at 2%, can transform into measurable change.
Every checkout is an investment.
Every design is a declaration.
Together, we’re building a future where innovation looks like us.
