The Grammys Got the Memo: Celebrate Black Culture or FAFO

The 2025 Grammy Awards pulled up like that overachieving student who realized their entire grade depended on acing the final. This year, they made it their mission to celebrate Black artistry—big time. Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Doechii and a long list of other talented Black artists walked away with some well-deserved hardware. Why? Because the Grammys aren’t trying to catch that Black Twitter smoke or face a potential boycott.

Let’s be real—the music industry wouldn’t exist without Black culture. Jazz, rock, hip-hop, R&B—we’re the blueprint. We set the trends, create the sound and bring the magic that drives billion-dollar profits. Yet, despite all that, less than 8% of top music execs are Black. Make it make sense.

This year’s Grammy celebration of Black excellence wasn’t just a business decision—it was long-overdue respect for the culture that’s been holding the industry down from day one.

At Blackable, we don’t wait for a PR crisis to show love for the Black community. Supporting us is supporting the culture. We live it, breathe it and invest right back into it. That’s why 2.5% of every Blackable sale goes to organizations uplifting Black communities--and that's just the beginning.

The movement is beginning. Be part of it.
